context
Trella is a trucking marketplace that removes the trucking hassle by connecting shippers with qualified carriers to move and manage loads seamlessly.
MY ROLE
I led the the research, conceptualization and design.
THE PROBLEM
When it comes to managing financials such as following up on invoice payments or seeking updated balances, communication between internal teams and shippers is scattered across multiple channels, including phone calls, WhatsApp messages, and emails.
This fragmented approach not only leads to inefficiencies, errors and delays but also hinders transparency.
research & discovery
Extensive research and discovery were conducted to gain a deep understanding of shippers needs, pain points, and preferences when it came to invoicing. This involved analyzing recent NPS data, conducting user interviews, and studying existing invoice and payment management tools.
We focused on invoicing and payment, because we knew tracking was very inefficient. However, one of the significant pain points identified during the user interviews was the reliance on calling an account manager to obtain an updated account balance. Where both parties frequently stumbled upon discrepancies, which led to a cycle of back-and-forth phone calls to settle dues.
This highlighted the opportunity to offer a more efficient and user-friendly solution that would provide shippers with real-time access to their account balance without the need for direct communication with Trella staff, as well as the ability to track invoices and payments.
the SOLUTION
A centralized dashboard where shippers can track their invoices, payments and balance.
Providing shippers with a clear understanding of their outstanding payments to help them to prioritize and manage invoices efficiently.
By displaying essential details such as the due amount and issue date, shippers can easily track their invoices.
By providing this comprehensive summary, shippers gain valuable insights into their payment trends and outstanding balances, empowering them to manage their finances effectively
